About IPA Since 1982, the International Psychogeriatric Association (IPA) has been dedicated to improving the mental health of older people around the world by supporting mental healthcare professionals through programs, resources and services in education, research, professional development, advocacy, and health and service promotion. With members from more than 50 countries, the IPA global community encompasses all issues (health aging to the diseases of aging) and all disciplines – psychiatrists, neurologists, geriatricians, scientists, epidemiologists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers and others working with the elderly.
